Is Simbu taking too many new year resolutions? First he asked the media not to refer to him as Simbu but only as Silambarasan. Now he says: “I will not be attending any public functions, audio launches, or even film premieres!”. His reason- “Last year I was overexposed on Television and at various weddings, audio launches and premieres. Now I want to be aloof and concentrate more on my films”.

. In fact today (Feb 11) will be his last public appearance at the audio launch of Singakutty. which the actor says was a prior commitment. He plans to announce this new resolution at the function to be held at Sathyam Cinemas today evening.

Adds Silambarasan: “You wont believe that after my appearance in JodiNo:1 the dance reality show on Vijay TV, other channels are offering me unheard of money to make my presence in their shows. It has become difficult for me to concentrate on my work as there are too many weddings, launches, and premieres in the city. So this is a deliberate attempt to stay away from limelight till my next film Silambattam. releases”.

In fact the young actor is giving his best to Silambattam after his Kaalai’s lukewarm reception at the box-office. So is the “little superstar” following the footsteps of the real “superstar”, by trying to be elusive and hard to get?
